Our furnace filter whistle easily attaches to a new furnace filter and sounds when your filter becomes 50% clogged, letting you know when it is time to replace the filter. Having a cleaner furnace filter can help a furnace be more energy efficient.
Your filter whistle comes in two pieces: a “base” and a “hat.” Make sure that the base is on the incoming airflow side and that the hat is on the opposite side, where the air exits the filter.
3. Install the whistle
Align the two pieces on their appropriate sides of the filter and press them together through the filter until they click into place.
4. Reinstall the HVAC filter
Reinstall the filter in your HVAC system. The whistle will sound when the filter has become 50% clogged. Be sure to replace the whistle each time you change the filter.
