School Eligibility
Elementary and Middle Schools that are located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Indiana are eligible to participate in the program.
To be a participating school, a school must schedule the free program from Duke Energy and Bright Star Touring Theatre during the current school year.

Not necessarily. The schools listed on the dropdown menu are eligible to host the program, but not all of them are participating.

Household Eligibility
The program offers eligible Duke Energy customers two kit types; Energy Kit 1 and Energy Kit 2. These are available with the following conditions:
Eligible Duke Energy Customers must:
Reside in North Carolina, South Carolina or Indiana
Have a child that attends a school that hosts an energy efficiency theatrical performance during the current school year
Receive only 1 of each kit type every 36 months
Only receive 1 kit per school year
To obtain Energy Kit 2, an eligible customer must have already received Energy Kit 1.

Families at participating schools in Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina can submit a request at any point during the program year – July 2024 through June 2025. In addition, there is a 3-month grace period through September 2025 for kit requests that come in that are associated with a school that had a performance in the previous program year July 2024-June 2025).

No. Kits will only be delivered to individual Duke Energy account holders' residential addresses. To receive an Energy Kit, each individual household must submit a request independently.
